Analytical and computational study of cascade reaction processes in catalytic fibrous membranes

چکیده
Multistep catalytic reactions use two different catalysts for the A → B and subsequent C reaction, respectively. Often employed are chemically incompatible, such as acid–base systems, which prohibits simple mixing in one solution. In this work, we study efficiency of reactors where incompatible sites immobilized on fibrous membranes. We compare a lattice Boltzmann based solver advection–diffusion–reaction equation, random walk particle tracking method theoretical model to investigate reaction function dimensionless control parameters: Péclet Damköhler number. find that, while decreases with higher flow speed (due reduced time), total production nevertheless increases due mass flux most cases. Our results further show even at high speeds, spatial proximity efficiency, supports recent experimental efforts locate both single fiber side-by-side geometry.

a contrastive study of rhetorical functions of citation in iranian and international elt scopus journals
writing an academic article requires the researchers to provide support for their works by learning how to cite the works of others. various studies regarding the analysis of citation in m.a theses have been done, while little work has been done on comparison of citations among elt scopus journal articles, and so the dearth of research in this area demands for further investigation into citatio...
Acoustic and visual study of bubble formation processes in bubble columns staged with fibrous catalytic layers
High-speed images of bubbly flow coupled with simultaneous passive acoustic measurements were carried out in a bubble column staged with structured fibrous catalysts. Local observations made with a high-speed camera system allow a detailed understanding of the influence of fabric structure on bubble formation processes and the determination of the Sauter bubble diameter. With acoustic measureme...
متن کاملAnalytical and computational study of self-induced transparency mode locking in quantum cascade lasers
The possibility of using the self-induced transparency effect to achieve laser mode locking has been discussed since the late 1960s but has never been observed. In prior work, we proposed that quantum cascade lasers are the ideal tool to realize self-induced transparency mode locking due to their rapid gain recovery times and relatively long coherence times, and because it is possible to interl...
